NossBalad.com: online la sitcom palestinese

E’ online NossBalad.com, serie TV comica interamente realizzata a Gerusalemme, in collaborazione con Inteatro, da un team di giovani professionisti, attori e video-makers italiani e palestinesi, collegati allo spazio creativo Al Ma’mal LAB – situato nella cuore della città vecchia di Gerusalemme.

Con ironia e sarcasmo, la serie mira a raccontare il punto di vista di chi è nato e vive a Gerusalemme, mostrando le sfide, i problemi, ma anche i momenti di gioia e amore.

“Cosa succede – si chiedono gli autori – se andiamo oltre gli stereotipi politici e culturali e ci focalizziamo sull’essere umano? Cosa vediamo? La quotidianità, le relazioni, un’inaspettata umanità. Vogliamo presentare un nuovo punto di vista sulla vita di tutti i giorni a Gerusalemme. Questa città ha ospitato da sempre diverse culture, religioni, lingue, ma è una convivenza difficile, e Gerusalemme è una città complessa. Lo scopo di NossBalad.com è raccontarla trasformando la sua complessità e le sue contraddizioni… in comicità: crediamo che rappresentare l’assurdità della vita quotidiana a Gerusalemme con humour e ironia possa far ridere la gente, ma allo stesso tempo possa essere un modo nuovo, efficace e interessante, per trasmettere un’immagine autentica della città, al di là degli stereotipi e delle etichette”.

L’idea di NossBalad.com nasce dal progetto di cooperazione TAM: Teatro ed Arti Multimediali – avviato nel 2008/2009 e nel 2010/2011 dal Teatro Nazionale Palestinese (PNT), Ufficio della Cooperazione Italiana allo Sviluppo, dal Ministero della Cultura dell’Autorità Nazionale Palestinese, con il contributo della Regione Marche e la collaborazione di Inteatro –  che, nel corso degli anni, ha permesso la formazione e la professionalizzazione nel campo delle arti performative e multimediali (audiovisivo, fotografia, grafica) di numerosi giovani palestinesi.

A fine 2011 alcuni tra questi hanno iniziato a lavorare insieme per la realizzazione del primo episodio della sit-com, che è statopresentato a marzo 2012 a Gerusalemme con un grande successo di pubblico e che è ora possibile vedere online su nossbalad.com, ma anche sul canale youtube, su facebook e twitter.  “Abbiamo deciso di produrre una serie per il web perché, come giovani, internet è una parte integrante delle nostre vite. Offre una grande possibilità di esprimerci usando uno strumento che conosciamo, ampliando anche la possibilità di avere maggior pubblico, andando oltre le barriere e superando le difficoltà culturali, politiche ed economiche che affrontiamo nel nostro lavoro quotidiano”.

Per contribuire alla produzione dei successivi 9 episodi della serie, è stata lanciata una campagna di raccolta fondi/produzione dal basso/crowdfunding sulla piattaforma IndieGoGo, tramite la quale è possibile fare una piccola donazione, aiutare a coprire i costi e permettere ai giovani palestinesi coinvolti di avere delle opportunità lavorative nel prossimo futuro.

It’s online NossBalad.com, sit-com entirely made ​​in Jerusalem by Palestinian and Italian professionals, actors and video-makers, linked to the creative space Ma’mal LAB – located in the heart of the old city of Jerusalem – in collaboration with Inteatro.

With humor and smiles, the series aims to tell the point of view of someone who was born and lives in Jerusalem, showing the challenges, problems, but also moments of joy and love.

“What does it mean to be a Jerusalemite? Challenges and problems, love and joy. What if we go beyond all the cultural and political stereotypes and we focus on human beings? What would we see? Daily life, relationships, unexpected…humanity. We are presenting a new point of view on the everyday life of the people in Jerusalem. This city is a place that over history has always been hosting different cultures, religions, languages. The goal of our storytelling is presenting it turning its complexity and contradictions into humour. Representing the absurdity of daily life in Jerusalem using humour makes people smile, but at the same time it delivers a picture of the reality in a new, effective, and interesting way”.

The idea was born from the cooperation project TAM: Theatre and Multimedia Art – started in 2008/2009 and 2010/2011 by the Palestinian National Theatre (PNT), Office of the Italian Cooperation, the Palestinian Ministry of Culture, with support from the Marche Region and the collaboration of Inteatro. Over the years, with TAM project, many young Palestinians gain professionalization in the field of performing arts and multimedia (video, photography, graphics).

At the end of 2011 some of them started to work together on the first episode of the sitcom, which was presented in March 2012 in Jerusalem with a great success. The series is thought for the web: “We decide to produce a series for the web because, as youth, internet is an integral part of our daily life. It offers a great chance of expressing ourselves using a tool we know, enlarging the reachable audience, going beyond walls and overcoming the cultural, political and economical difficulties we are facing in our daily work”.
