G. .. (H) ATE (read as G8/eight, G.hate /hate, Gate/exit) is a work in progress about the G8 of Genova in 2001. A study on movement which talks about issues such as fear, violence, protection, vulnerability, anger, power, endurance …. let’s reclaim for our rights.
The show is not a documentary or a representation: there are six bodies on stage, which move and act, trying to evoke emotions experienced by the author during the G8.
An attempt to remember, after over 10 years, what happened in those days, to reflect on timeless themes: the importance of the dissent and the need to give voice to ideals, but also the violence of death, the brute force and the collective trauma due to a rupture, a fragmentation, a collapse of organicity.
