GERALDINE PILGRIM

Storico direttore artistico della compagnia di teatro visuale “Hesitate and Demonstrate”, Geraldine Pilgrim è attualmente a capo di “Corridor”, compagnia fondata nel 2000 per creare eventi site specific, spesso collaborando con giovani, anziani, gruppi e comunità artistiche del territorio. Il particolare lavoro on site di Geraldine Pilgrim si specializza in progetti e produzioni teatrali site specific di grandi dimensioni e installazioni performative in edifici inusuali, nei quali l’architettura del luogo viene utilizzata come racconto, rivelando, gradualmente, memorie, atmosfere e sottili essenze acquisite nel corso degli anni, integrandole con il presente e immaginandone il futuro.
GUSTAVO FRIGERIO
Workshop dall’11 al 25 maggio 2012
Regista ed attore di teatro ed opera, Frigerio ha studiato danza (tecnica Cunnigham e contact improvisation con Steve Paxton e Lisa Nelson), teatro (Grotowski, Richard Schechner, Peter Brook), voce (Tecnica Linklater, Zigmunt Molik) e coscienza del corpo (tai-chi-chuan, yoga e Ideokinesis). I suoi lavori, spettacoli nei quali si fondono diverse discipline in una sorta di partitura compositiva, sono stati presenti nei festival e nei teatri di tutta Europa. Ha insegnato alla Scuola D’Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi di Milano, in molte altre istituzioni in Europa, ad Amsterdam, Anversa, Rotterdam, Ljubljana. E’ attualmente docente alla Ecole du Théâtre des Teintureries di Losanna.
CLÁUDIA DIAS
Workshop dall’11 al 22 giugno 2012
Ha iniziato lo studio della danza classica con Maria Franco presso la Academia Almadense. Ha proseguito gli studi come allieva della Companhia de Dança de Lisboa. Collabora dal 2001 con RE.AL. Il suo spettacolo Visita Guiada è stato presentato al Festival Inteatro nel 2006. Il suo lavoro, incentrato sulla capacità di racconto del corpo, si sviluppa secondo una matrice di tipo concettuale e si caratterizza per una grande esattezza compositiva e spaziale. Le sono particolarmente care le tematiche legate al rapporto tra l’uomo e l’ambiente naturale ed urbano. Dirige, insieme a João Fiadeiro, Tiago Guedes e Márcia Lança i corsi di Tecnica di Composizione in Tempo Reale all’atelier RE.AL.
GERALDINE PILGRIM

Geraldine Pilgrim Director/Designer and Installation artist is also Artistic Director of Corridor, a performance company she set up in 2000 to continue to create site-specific events often working in collaboration with young people, older people and arts and community groups. Her particular site work specialises in installations and performances in unusual buildings and landscapes where the architecture of the site is used as inspiration and narrative, gradually revealing memories and atmospheres that have built up over the years, together with the history – imagined and real – of the space; like the peeling away of different layers of wall paper to release the ghost of the building’s or landscapes past whilst being aware of its present condition and dreaming of its future. She trained as a fine artist and theatre designer, co- founded and became Artistic Director of Hesitate and Demonstrate the influential visual theatre company which toured Britain and mainland Europe and has since been making installations, theatre based performances and large scale site-specific events.

Gustavo Frigerio, director and theater and opera actor, studied dance (Cunningham technique and contact improvisation with Steve Paxton and Lisa Nelson), theater (Grotowski, Richard Schechner, Peter Brook), voice (Linklater technique, Zigmunt Molik) and body consciousness (tai-chi-quan, yoga, and Ideokinesis). His works — performances where different disciplines are used in a sort of composition score — have been presented in festivals and theaters throughout Europe. He has taught at the Scuola D’Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi of Milan and in many other institutions in Europe (Amsterdam, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Ljubljana). He is currently a teacher at Ecole du Théâtre des Teintureries of Lausanne.
CLÁUDIA DIAS
11th to 22nd june workshop
Cláudia Dias started her classical dance training at the Academia Almadense. Then, she obtained a scholarship to enrol in the Companhia De Dança de Lisboa. She started her collaboration with RE.AL in 2001. Her second solo, Visita Guiada, has been presented in InteatroFestival 2006. Her work is focused on the storytelling ability of the body and it is characterized by great accuracy and spatial composition. She particularly works on the issues related to the relationship between humans and the natural and urban environment. At the atelier RE.AL., she leads courses of Real Time Composition method with with João Fiadeiro, Tiago Guedes and Márcia Lança.
