Inteatro Festival’s aim is to develop and promote at a European level new and unexpected approaches in all fields related to contemporary live arts. The festival’s program is built on a series of mid and long terms exchanges with local and international artists, developed over the years under the forms of research and creative residencies, professional training projects, productions and/or co-productions and other forms of collaboration that are established according to the artists’ specific needs.
Headquarter of Inteatro is Villa Nappi in Polverigi, an old villa in the middle of a secular park, offering eleven rooms (that are available all year long) for hosting artists as well as equipped rehearsing spaces where to develop and research in ideal working conditions.
Artistic fields investigated by Inteatro are the ones related to contemporary live arts, with a particular interest to original formats proposing a critical approach on current reality, generating new perceptions, responding to actuality with dynamism, reflecting on emerging human territories, involving a heterogeneous audience, proposing works that spot a question mark. Involvement of the community and development of the audiences are priorities of Inteatro Festival, that considers participation as the possibility of forming new communities by giving birth to dynamic artistic projects that interact with the local and global territory and creatively relate to the structure of society.
