IOLE LA SALA – RE-BODY
A memory comes from a story, a tale, an experience. Memories belong both to present and past, are out of control, modify ourselves, justify or contradict us. The Italian word “ricordare” could be translate in English both in “remember” and in “remind”, Iole La Sala piece starts from these concepts applied to the body of the dancer and her own experience.

Iole La Sala is an Italian choreographer and dancer graduated in Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome. After an educational period in Maqamat Dance Theatre (Lebanon) and in Uniti Space Performing Arts in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) she worked with well-recognized Masters such as Helder Seabra (Wim Vandekeybus, Sidi Larbi Chercaoui), Kristina Alleyne (Akram Khan, Wim Vandekeybus), Anton Lachky (Puzzle work). Currently she is accomplishing a MA in Accademia Nazionale di Danza. In 2019 she has been selected to take part of the Transition Dance Company in London (UK).
