DEWEY DELL – STORM ATLAS

STORM ATLAS Storm Atlas by Dewey Dell is a catalogue of storms. Powerful audiovisual scenes trap the force of meteorological turbulences of all kinds: dramaturgies of gestures, sounds and texts translate the great turmoil of nature. Composing this atlas becomes an endless chase, running after the unattainable equilibrium of the sky. The performance is a reflection on human powerlessness: even though we can examine and scientifically understand the phenomenon, we are helpless in the face of these events of monstrous scale. The work of Dewey Dell – known for their sophisticated originality – is deeply inspired by the history of art. In this new performance, the company aims to capture the unpredictability of the sky through sound, movement and light.
