Meeting about international cooperation
What are the international expectations about Italy? How can we facilitate bilateral projects? Why do we chose to look outside Europe for partnership and what countries do we approach?
This session aims to collect together professionals, artists and cultural institutions to reflect concretely on the theme of international collaboration in Europe and beyond, enlightening solutions and tools to build best practices.
We will discuss the external perception of Italy, the approach of international professional to our system, the expectations and the difficulties about export, coproduction and collaboration; we will face the topic of bilateral actions, that is still the major weakness of our system, with the aim to pinpoint ways and tools to support it, even thanks to the creation of informal networks; finally, we will confront the institutional needs with the artistic ones when it comes to approach the extra eu market, understanding differences and similarities between diplomacy and creativity.
All these topics are very relevant in the context of the Italian cultural policies lead by Ministry of Culture and Heritage, such as NID Platform and Focus Young Arab, projects where Marche Teatro is actively involved; it also connects with the international discussion lead be European network such as IETM, born in Polverigi in 1981.
